Pantone 2016

Spring is here and with it come this season’s Pantone fashion & interior colours. This is what Pantone had to say about them:

Colors this season transcend cultural and gender norms. Vivid brights give way to excitement and optimism, though quiet stability prevails in this season’s palette.

A wonderful palette that reminded us of the Gensler LA offices as seen dressed up for the movie ‘Her’. The tonality of Spike Jonze 2013 film, set in the not too distant future (possibly 2016?) carries a strikes resemblance to this year’s pantone spring selection.

We came across this image of the interior of the Sketch Gallery in London, which seems to contain both the colours and it’s them of transcending gender norms.

The palette also includes the 2016 Pantone swatches of the year, Quartz and Serenity. It’s the first time in recent years that the meeting of international colour standard groups has decided to go with two complimentary Pantones as opposed to a single Colour of the Year.
